It was almost the same in season 2 - Olivia didn't realise how much Peter meant to her until he had gone and in season 4 she nearly lost him again when he was still looking to go home after she was sure he was in the right place and had declared her love for him. Thank heavens for September and his little mission for Peter in the woods.
