It was weird because it seems like they wanted to give DJ a shot at endgame but at the same time it felt from the writing that they wanted her to evolve into a relationship with Pacey and for Dawson to have her past. But it's tricky because it can't go both ways  |
Like I've said before it was the will/they won't/they thing.
DJo as endgame was supposed to be the payoff.
I think at first PJo were only meant to be an obstacle but then they became popular.
The writers went with it.
PJo ended up getting the better writing.
