i don't think it was ridiculous but I do think it was a little soon for her to break things off, considering how long she pined for him.
I think if Dawson/Joey/Pacey were all as close growing up that things would be very different. I can't really picture PJ with the same bond as DJ. Their bond is what makes DJ special its unique to just them. That said, I think what PJ had was just as special but in a different (just as meaningful) way. Their relationship just took a few more years to blossom.
