Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman to visit
Germany for one-time-only fan event

It’s been announced that Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman will visit
Germany for a one-time-only fan event, live in Berlin on Friday, 17th July.

Capaldi commented: “So many German fans have already reached out to
me about the show and I’m delighted to be travelling to their country
to find out first hand why they love Doctor Who.”

The trip will offer fans the opportunity to see the stars of the world’s longest
running TV sci-fi series, for the first time in Germany. It follows on from
last year’s successful fan events across the globe during ‘Doctor Who:
The World Tour’ where Capaldi and Coleman visited 7 cities in 12 days
including Cardiff, Seoul and Rio de Janeiro.

Doctor Who returns to our screens later this year, and further details of
the Germany trip will be available in due course.

Steven Moffat is being awarded an OBE in the
Queen's Birthday Honours for his services to drama.

Speaking to the BBC's Lizo Mzimba, Moffat said: “I never thought I
would get something like this. I’m astonished and more thrilled than
I ever thought someone like me would be. I’m not the least bit cynical,
or the least bit trying to be cool about it. I’m just really, really happy.”

Rhodri Talfan Davies, director of BBC Cymru Wales, said: “We’re thrilled
to see Steven’s creative brilliance being recognised today. Not only has
he enthralled countless millions of viewers across the world, he has helped
rocket-boost the Welsh creative sector, inspiring a new generation of talent
here in Wales to make their mark on the global stage. I’m so delighted to
see his remarkable achievements being honoured.”

Four Doctors! Three companions! One action-packed mystery!

The 5-part weekly event, written by Paul Cornell and illustrated by
Neil Edwards, stars the Tenth, Eleventh, Twelfth
and War Doctor and their comics companions!

The weekly event, running through August and September 2015,
in place of the ongoing series, features all three Doctors from
Titan’s regular ongoings. This epic event is the thrilling next
chapter in Titan Comics’ bombastic Doctor Who publishing saga.

The first issue will be released on Wednesday, 12th August,
supported by the global Doctor Who Comics Day, which is
due to take place on Saturday, 15th August.

Writer Paul Cornell has previously penned episodes from the
TV series of Doctor Who, which were ‘Father’s Day’ from Series 1 and
‘Human Nature / Family of Blood’ from Series 3, both Hugo-nominated.
Cornell is also credited for classic Doctor Who novels, as well as
successful comic book runs on titles such as Wolverine,
Action Comics, Demon Knights, and Captain Britain and MI:13.
