Previously on Reign: Delphine and her binding ritual. Catherine and Narcisse. Royal family evacuated. Kenna and Renaude. Conde and F. Frary. Mary pregnant with Conde's child.
The camp with women and men frolicking. Conde taking Mary around camp. C tells M that she's safe now and he will protect her and their child. C says that F must die. M tells C that F has back up. M asks that they run off together. C says he's done too much to stop now. Francis could have saved everyone if he had surrendered and C asks for his siege engines(?). A soldier says that they are at the end of the columns and would take hours. Then tells Mary that her being there changes nothing and that by tomorrow night if F doesn't surrender, either F or C will be dead.

Francis and CdM. CdM tells F that Mary has gone to Conde and tried to convince him that she has betrayed her people. CdM says that F is too merciful to M. CdM mentions that she and the younger boys won't live and if she does stay alive she won't forgive Mary for going to C. Servant brings blankets to Mdm D and finds a dark room. Girl then screams. Leith and Claude. PC tells L that the creature has been seen and that it attacked a maid in D's chambers. Leith doesn't seem concerned and says that he has arrows to shoot it. PC says that rumour is that creature could be D herself. PC says that she knows what she saw. L says that she's preoccupied by a creature when there are thousands of soldiers outside. PC says that there's something inside the castle as well. There's something infecting some of the soldiers. They were fine and then they woke up to their blood and vomit about them. Morning. Woman screaming about something that's scaring the camp. Turns out to be a hoax whatever it is. Conde returns to the tent and Mary stabs Conde in the chest.

Conde looks at Mary and pulls out the knife and tries to attack her but falls to his knees, drop knife which Mary picks up. Canons, hoax plague. Baby. All hoaxes. M says that she never meant to hurt him but she had to stop him. Bash and Francis. The men are running about in chaos. B mentions that M gave him a package for Greer that was very important and hence there maybe more to Mary's departure than they know. F says to attack even though C's men still overwhelms them, so F leads the charge and keeps the men on the run. F asks that they find C. F comes to the tent where C lays dying and M says that a physician is coming to bind C's wounds but M says that she doesn't know if C will live. F says that C could have succeeded and she could have had everything. M says F is her king and her husband. F says that there's no need when they are alone. M says that she loves him and she always have. N goes to CdM's chambers to tell them that he coup is over and they are safe. CdM is relieved. Those in her chambers leaves at N's suggestion. C is shaking which N sees and comments because the thought of dying and leaving her children unprotected, she couldn't bare it. N and CdM hug and CdM says she would want to feel his arms. CdM wants N and her to go forward together despite their differences. F is announced in the throne room. Great cheering and applause. M says that it's been a long time since she saw F smile. F says that it's been a long time since he nearly lost everything and then nearly has it all back. F asks M about how she got in. M says that she took advantage of C's love for her. She then sees Greer and goes to her and thanks her for her help. G says that it was all M's idea and that she simply obeyed. G asks where is C and CdM says that C is in the dungeons hopefully recovering from his wounds. CdM gloats that he can then live long enough to meet the axe that will separate his head from his body. F asks M and G to go so he can talk to his mother. F tells CdM that he has made his decision and C won't lose his head for this. F says that he wants vengence but C is more important to this country in one piece. F wants to offer C to Antoine and ask that they swear off their claim to the throne forever. CdM says that he's emboldening the enemy and looking weak, but F has already sent for Lola and JP and he will end this with diplomacy not war. Narcisse looks on. CdM says that she's already said everything she wants to. GR at the scaffold area. GR wishes he could keep her clear of suspicion. K says that she wouldn't let it and she would carry their relationship no matter what. GR tells K as he's lead up that E's campaign against M is personal and that she won't give up until M is dead. Then GR struggles as he hangs and then a soldier yanks him down to kill him.

B, PC and the servant boy that D used for her ritual. PC insists that the boy tell B about what happened. The boy says that D seduced him during the siege with him lying on a bloody shirt and put a spell on him. He didn't feel like himself. Gibberish came out of his mouth and D said it was pagan. PC says D is a witch. B says he will look into it and tells PC and the boy to hold their tongues since the last thing they want after the siege is panic. Bash in a hallway, Kenna says she needs to talk to him. B says he's looking for D and K says to hear her out. The are in their room. Bash at the window. K by the table. K says that when she saw B with D she panicked she grabbed at GR because she was lonely and felt desperate. She tells him she misses him and that if there was any part of him that feels for her to give them another chance. B asks if it's because she doesn't want to be alone again and she saw her lover hang. K says that she knew before during the seige when she called out to save him. She says that he doesn't look happy with D and that they are still husband and wife and they haven't undone anything yet. Then KB kiss and then they have sex. M and C in the dungeon. M asks C to sign away his claim on the throne. C says he tried to leave but it was E who saved him and E was only willing to save him if he claimed the throne. He really want it. He then says that even after she put a knife into him he still loves her. She says that she did love him. C says that her love for F was deeper and stronger. M says that she wishes he didn't make her choose. C says that M will never know how sorry he is. F gets news of Lola and JP. The royal cloth is covered in blood. There was a kidnapping attempt and JP was killed. One of the men in the kidnapping was captured and confessed. M can't believe it and F throws the bloody cloth at her and takes out his sword. F scares C with a slash at the stone above his head. F says that if they don't find Lola before the day is done. C will lose his head in the dungeon. F leaves and C yells that he didn't harm his son.
Commercial
F tells M about what happened. Lola and JP were kidnapped to exchange for C on their way back to the castle. JP fell and hit his head. M comforts him in a hug. They found this out from one of the kidnappers left behind when he was wounded during the fight. There's no sign of them where the kidnappers were supposed to meet. F feels guilty of sending away. He sees the boy everywhere. his smile. N comes charging in saying that L is still missing and that he offers to go look for her. N thinks that someone in the castle was in on it. F offers men. N says that no one outside the room must know that he left for at least a day. F nods faintly and M orders N to take what he needs. B talks to D about her familiar. D says that her familiar should have never left her home. B tells D about the rumours about the servant boy. D looks away and says that people are superstitious and are afraid because I heal people and without a husband. B says that he understands about being an outcast. He will quash the rumours. He tells D that he's decided to reconcile with K. D says that she's not surprised with a child on the way. Bash says that there's no child. D says that she's been with child for weeks and that K must know. B goes to confront K and says that's why she wanted to reconcile and such. She begs him to stay with her and this child since it's a bastard. He must know what it is like. B says that if she had come to him honestly, he might have considered it. K says that she didn't see any other way. B says that they are finished.
Narcisse attacks a house and finds Lola and JP both safe and alive. A man with axe approaches C in the dungeons and asks C to be quiet. Then there's blood outside a door. Servant girl finds it and someone has killed the executioner and the soldiers and what is supposed to be Conde's body is an impostor. Mary asks that they lock down the castle to find Conde. Conde rides off into the woods.

B tells M that Conde is heading north. The assassin who took the place of the executioner has died, but they found out he is English. They are wondering if C is heading to E or to Navarre. B will dispatch men to the ports. N arrives and M tells him that F is in disposed and N says that it's a matter of utmost secrecy regarding JP. Mary asks the others to leave. They do. N tells M that L and JP are alive and well. They both realize that it was Catherine who was behind the kidnapping. They both thought CdM folded too easily so N had his men follow her men and that lead to where L and JP were held. M asks why N turned on CdM. N says that there's one thing worse than being hated by CdM and that's being loved by CdM. N leaves the info to M. F is apparently at an abbey praying. Servant girl comes upon D doing something (possibly another ritual) to a man lying on the floor and screams. M confronts CdM about how she's treating F. CdM says that she did it because she couldn't chance diplomacy because they could mount another attack during negotiations. She also says that the moment C became M's lover he had to die. CdM tells M that she and her children all could have been slaughtered because M was lonely as Queen, as wife. CdM tells her that it's the job, get used to it. M says that she made mistakes but she asks Catherine how she could do it to her son. CdM says that she did it for her son and for France. CdM then begs M not to tell Francis and how she kept her secrets and she brings up he rape which is when Mary says not to go there. CdM then tells M that ruling requires that your hands are drenched in blood. All the men M had lead astray knew it and F who killed his father knew it and tells her to stop feeling superior about herself over it. M says the difference between them is that bloodshed is gruesome but for CdM is as normal as drawing her next breath. M says that she will tell F about his son and her treachery and tells her that she hopes that God save CdM from F's wrath. B comes into the room where D is being held by two guards. She asks B to help her since she was trying to save the man. Servant girls says she found them and D was wailing(?) in pleasure. B tells them to leave them now. B asks how the boy ended up murdered in her chambers and D says she doesn't know, but she only could feel his pain. B says that D has no idea how bad this looks. D says that B has to believe her she didn't murder the boy or drawing pentagrams. B tells her that she's suspected of doing pagan things and the boy who told about her is now found murder in her chambers. As D is led away, she begs B to promise not to let them drown her. CdM is led to the throne room by guards and F tells them to leave. F can't believe that CdM would send armed guards to kidnap family. L and JP could have been harmed and then he banishes her from court for this. He thought her redeeming quality was her love for family but he figures that if she had given birth to peasants and someone had offered her a monarchy, she would have slit their throats to get it. The guards then take her away. CdM is see being led away. She goes to N, calls him Judas and then spits on his face. N then looks at Lola who was in the hallway. F gets up and M tries to comfort him and he walks away from her.

All the LIW together in Mary's chambers. Kenna is going to Norway or Sweden to have her baby that a family that Mary found will take from her. She can salvage her reputation if B doesn't say anything and M says he won't. Then K's carriage arrives and she leaves. Frary in a room. F says that he thought it would take years for them to reconcile but M has proved her love for him and M says that they can only make the right choices and then they kiss. Frary sex. Kenna meets a king of a kingdom near the Russian border. He's become king after his father died. Kenna offers to be his penpal. He invites her to the coronation. She tells him that she can't right now but she could go visit him with her sister's baby in the winter. B wakes up to D in his bed kissing him. Telling him that she didn't kill the boy and that they are bound together and his spirit is in her as her spirit is in him. Turns out to be a dream. D is being burned. D screams. Bash feels like he's on fire. D then runs out of the fire into the woods. Frary in their bedroom. M tells F that she will love him for the rest of her life and that she will never leave him. Then F is in a dark chamber. F says that she hopes that M is pregnant soon. It will protect her in France. Nosty shows up and tells him that his illness never relented. F says that Nosty's herbs have helped but he's dying. Nosty agrees. English Court. E is announced. CdM shows up to see E and offers destruction of mutual enemy. Mary, Queen of Scots.
