| Um, I think you're confusing "deserve" with "need". Even though she obviously doesn't need the money, she deserves it just as much as anybody else. To 'deserve' something is to have done something good so that people think you're worthy of getting something back; and I don't see how Person A pulling a lever on a machine is any more deserving of money than Person B who pulled the same lever on the same machine. |
