We haven't had any yet where I live but it is forecast for tomorrow on the high ground. We never get snowed in as such but I live within a few miles of three motorways running West to East, North To South and into Wales so if there is any trouble on any of them the knock on effect makes all the roads around town grid-locked.
Sometimes if it is really cold it affects the swing bridges which have to be opened if ships are on the Manchester shipping canal and they sometimes get stuck, which can leave cars stranded on the wrong side for hours, until they get them un-frozen.
