I guess because Kai was touching her, so if she transported herself, she'd transport him, too (but apparently she can transport the bear without transporting the two of them...) It doesn't make perfect sense, but the only way we can even half-explain some of the mythology in s6 is by making up our own iffy rules.
Another question; how was Ric released after one night in the hospital? His injury was more traumatic than that. I'll move this to the Alaric thread.
