i'm about 99% sure wells is a villain. i've seen spec that he's barry from the future, but barry would never kill anyone in cold blood like wells did at the end of the last episode. the professor zoom thing seems a little obvious, but maybe that's just because i've read the comics. i think a non comic book reader would find a professor zoom twist really satisfying from a storytelling point of view - it's just a little predictable for the more hardcore fans
my favorite crack theory used to be that it's wally west/bart allen from the future ensuring barry survives because if he doesn't then they won't exist but...well, harrison wells is very, very white lol
