her first big role was on ryan's hope in 1981 playing siobahn ryan. after leaving ryan's hope in 1985 she met up with alan whom guested on ryan's hope, and they started dating. in 1989, they married. in 1988, marg joined the cast of china beach playing k.c koloski, a prositute addicted to herion. her portrayal of k.c. earned her a emmy. in 1990, alan and marg welcomed son hughie.
after china beach ended, marg enjoyed movie roles such as 'the tommyknockers', 'species I&II', 'bad boys' and played george clooney's girlfriend in the early years of e.r.
in early 2000 she was approached with a script, which is know known as "csi:crime scene investigation" to play catherine willows, an ex-stripper and single mom who is a forensics investigator. she knew from the beginning that the show would be a hit and she was right. |
