For me, seeing this episode, once I saw Pacey's new haircut, something vanished. It was like once Pacey cut his beautiful hair off, he also cut off any fond feelings I had for Pacey and Joey as a couple. I've never heard such an awesome comment like this one and what the haircut represented for you. I was never a fan of PJ but I totally remember Pacey's buzz cut and was reminded of his lovely hair before this time, especially in season 2 when it was so wavy and gentle looking. You are right, there is something about the new haircut. I wasn't a fan either.
Now that I think about it... Pacey looked like he enlisted in the army and in my opinion, it was a good thing since he needed protection from the painful shots Joey took at him in season 4. lol
