On a serious note - I need some spoilers post "Peter". Dr. What's-her-name says to Walter "For the sake of one life, you will destroy the world."
Based on what I've seen, in fact,
without Peter in this world, it's likely it would have been destroyed - or certainly changed significantly and not for the better. Or am I just trying to justify what Walter did?
