Going to say I disagree with the Sultan. If he hadn't tried to kill Jafar, Jafar wouldn't be an evil wizard nut job with daddy issues. Also, he wasn't trying to kill Jafar because he thought Jafar would become and evil nut job with daddy issues. He did it to get rid of a rival heir.
