I had a hunch early on in this season that Miles' dad would turn out to be a womanizer. I was really hoping I was wrong. Not because of the father's mistake and "wanting to give Miles a hug" like one of the official Degrassi twitters said but just because of how hard it pushes the misunderstood rich kid angle TPTB are working for Miles. It turns me off so much because there are other "bad" kids who aren't being given that kind of character development. I knew there would be an excuse for him to behave the way he does. At least there was Maya and a few others trying to encourage Miles that he has to put forth an effort in his relationship with his dad instead of rebelling for attention with the scheming that I think we are supposed to find cute. I'm crossing my fingers that some way along the way in his story he realizes that he isn't that different from his father and there is some bonding moment there.
