EL SEGUNDO, Calif., January 8, 2014 – A glittering gaggle of A-list celebrities, models and star athletes will gather in the city that never sleeps to show fans their grit on the gridiron for the Eighth Annual DIRECTV Celebrity Beach Bowl on Saturday, Feb. 1.

The star-studded flag football game goes live at DTV SuperFan Stadium (Hudson River Park Pier 40) on the world’s largest indoor beach, packed with more than a million pounds of freshly poured sand. Those watching at home can catch the game on DIRECTV’s Audience Network, NBC Sports Network, Root Sports Northwest, Rocky Mountain and Pittsburgh as well as internationally on DIRECTV’s Pan Americana and Puerto Rican outlets.

Free and open to the public on a first-come basis, the DIRECTV Celebrity Beach Bowl has become one of the must-attend events of Super Bowl weekend, attracting thousands of spectators who flock to witness Hollywood’s biggest stars compete against former NFL greats in a wild flag football game where anything can happen. The following are scheduled to take part in the game with more names to be announced in the coming weeks.

Celebrities: Chrissy Teigen (Sports Illustrated Model/Television Host), Adam Pally (The Mindy Project), Shay Mitchell (Pretty Little Liars), Scott Porter (Hart of Dixie), Meghan Markle (Suits), Chace Crawford (Gossip Girl), Nina Dobrev (The Vampire Diaries), Ian Somerhalder (The Vampire Diaries), Jaimie Alexander (Thor: The Dark World), Peter Facinelli (Nurse Jackie), Tom Arnold (Comedian/Actor), Tracy Morgan (Comedian/Actor), Hannah Davis (Sports Illustrated Model), Cole Hauser (Rogue), Kevin Frazier (The Insider), Rocsi Diaz (Entertainment Tonight), Artie Lange (The Artie Lange Show) and Guy Fieri (Rachael vs. Guy: Celebrity Cook-Off).

Athletes: NFL Hall of Famers Joe Montana, Deion Sanders and Warren Moon; LaDainian Tomlinson (New York Jets), Tony Gonzalez (Atlanta Falcons), Jesse Palmer and Amani Toomer (New York Giants) and Jon Ritchie (Oakland Raider/The Artie Lange Show).

Game Day Schedule (all Times EST):
10 A.M. – Doors to DTV SuperFan Stadium open for a tailgate party featuring interactive experiences, activities, games and a live broadcast from New York’s Z100, The Hit Music Station.

1 P.M. – SHOWTIME presents the pre-game show with Emmy-winning sportscaster Dan Patrick and NBC Sports’ Michelle Beadle

1:50 P.M. – Issac Slade of The Fray sings the National Anthem

2 P.M. – DIRECTV Celebrity Beach Bowl 2014 begins. Daryl “Moose” Johnston and Patrick will call the game with sideline reporter Tony Siragusa during four 10-minute quarters.

2:30 P.M. – Half-time show hosted by Food Network’s Andrew Zimmern (Bizarre Foods America).

3:20 P.M. – Three-time Grammy-nominated sensation Paramore will perform hits from their self-titled fourth studio album which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 Chart and named “Best Rock Album” by Entertainment Weekly.

During the event, Under Armour will outfit players, coaches and team captains with official performance apparel, footwear and accessories. Additional sponsors, including Food Network, MillerCoors, STARZ, Kickstart™ by Mountain Dew®, Mexico Tourism, Travel Channel and VIASAT, will also be on hand for the fun.
