I adore Elena but she really needs to let him go completely, like stop judging, he had a life before her, she shouldn't be judging his relationship with Kat, I get her opinions - Kat tried to kill her, she did kill Caroline and Jeremy but it's none of her business who Stefan is into, she chose Damon so she needs to let Stefan go, and yes I say this as a DE/Elena lover
