Alright, here's my testimonial! It's short, apologies.
Why I dig the Shamy.
For the first three seasons I argued against Sheldon being in a romantic relationship with anyone. I was so sure that he would never have a relationship because I hadn't seen any character that he would be compatible with. Because of that certainty, I argued against every idea that came up. As part of my argument, I described the kind of woman that would have to exist for Sheldon to actually crave a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship with. I was terribly specific; there was no way, I thought, this woman could ever be created. If she was, then great, but there was so much that she would have to be. And then, lo and behold, in the season three finale, she walked up to Sheldon and into all of our lives. I thought "oh, this could work. Maybe." And that's the understatement of the show.
