it does irk me that there are things in the books that directly contradict the actual show, but whatever. i'm taking the books to be very elaborate fanfiction, not canon. if it didn't happen on the show, it doesn't count.
want to know what the third book will be about. the second one is Brian in college, so it'll probably have Lindsay in it, but no word yet on the third book.
