I think Rumple will regain his powers when he returns. In the preview Hook seemed to know that Rumple didn't have power outside of SB. So I'm thinking Cora did something to the globe or her lipstick that was a spell., and told Hook.
How else would he know. And if they thought he was without magic or that he was immune from the curse now, where look for the dagger? I think that Rumple could break free if the DO curse and still have magic. One of the grayish villians has too. How else can he help the good guys when needed?
Anyway since Hook doesn't have a SB persona that means he could cross the town line and go after Rumple. He could wait for thier return and try to kill a magicless Rumple...
