In season 4 episode 3 he met Elsa and Elsa resembled Shannon a lot. I think they should've made a scene where Sayid saw Shannon in Elsa... and Elsa died the same way Shannon died... |

I love how quickly he fell for her, I always like to say she's the lightness to his dark life and that's why he fell for her. He needed someone like her. Nadia was a part of that dark past he needed to let go.
Probably he didn't feel the need to mention her? like he felt it in his heart, but mentioning it probably would've hurt more.
