Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure this occurred across a three-day time span. The first day was when Clare saw the guys drinking at 11 AM and met with the intern, the second day was when she got buzzed with Dallas, told Jake and Katie about it, and spent an entire afternoon (and maybe a bit of the evening, since the school was closing soon) writing the article, and the day after that was the meeting with Simpson and Dallas.
