we did it rockers! We've finally reached our first big milestone.
After months of hard working and posting we finally did it,
and now here we are - celebrating ten thousand posts.
This is such an amazing milestone, and we would like to say
a big thank you to everyone that helped us get to 10,000.
Without all of you, we wouldn’t have reached this milestone even after the cancellation of the show.
And this board wouldn't be what it is -
such a fun and friendly place here on ff to come.
Even if we are only a small bunch of posters
it makes it even more awesome to keep this board alive.
And now finally, let's celebrate this milestone!

well, it's actually my first baby on fanforum. I was here since its beginnings and therefore it has a special place in my heart. I met such great people on this board, flave, nikki, mel, holly, melissa, dimple and kathrin. We are the rock family on fanforum and i'm proud to be a member of this family.

What's not love about the show, since its first episode it showed a quality, which most shows don't have to be honest. The story, the cast, the writing and of course the mystery was so great, that you kept watching it to get at least some answers. It's such a shame that we didn't get a second season.

i joined the fandom just recently and watched every episode of the series in two days. Dimpelchen recommended the show and i also wanted to watch it because i saw parminder nagra plays one of the characters. I immediately fell in love with it because of the interesting characters and the exciting plot and that is why it is even more sad that it got cancelled too soon. But nevertheless the board is the best place to discuss the show and meet other fans. I was welcomed immediately and i got to meet some awesome posters which i hope to post with more often.
I´m so proud that even after the show got cancelled we never gave up and also dimpelchen decided against the closure of the board so that we at least could reach our first milestone. And i also got the oppurtunity to prepare my first celebration op and i hope everyone likes it.
So now let us celebrate the awesomeness of our board.

favourite character

that's a tough question actually, but if i had to choose, it would be w.e.j. from the past and doc from the present.
The ones who know me, know that the warden is my love&hate buddy and he's also the boss on alcatraz. He pulled the strings - at least - on alcatraz, he was behind some major actions so far we know.
Although he seemed to be scary and hard to his inmates and as well to his staff, milton and e.b. Can sing about it.
He always gave me the impression, that he was also caring for the inmates/staff in a weird way.
Doc on the other side is this idealistic, talented, genuine, nice guy from the block. I loved his dedication he put in all the cases they have been through and his partner-/friendship with becca. And jorge garcia nailed this character 100%.

my favourite character was the warden because he is such a complex and interesting character. It would have been good to find out about his backstory.

my favourite character is lucy banerjee.
I didn´t even have to watch one episode of alcatraz to know that she would be my fav, because i´m such a big fan of parminder nagra as an actress. I know her from er and kick it like beckham and since then i loved her so much.
Even if she didn´t get much screentime with her being in a coma during most of the episodes, we got information about her in the flashback and her work at alcatraz and her relationship with the different inmates was very interesting and with one of her favourite patients being the one who saved her in the end i was very excited to see her dynamic with rebecca and doc after they found out that she also disappeared with the other inmates and only recently coming back.
I hoped to see more of that team working together. And i especially wanted to know more about her romantic relationship with emerson in the past but also in the present. But that´s not possible anymore.
