Yep, it's really a bad news  It started out so well!
And yes, I think more people would have keep watching if more things happened, if there were revelations concerning who knew and who didn't about Bridget's identity. If all the characters had secrets for each other (including Andrew who seemed too nice sometimes) And if the hiatus wasn't so long and there were more sneak peeks/promos
