Which I think is just crazy because have they seen how many people Elena has loss? Her adopted parents, her aunt, her biological parents - it's never ending for her. She may be 18 but that doesn't mean that she doesn't wish that there wasn't an adult figure to look after her. She's still in H.S., she doesn't have all the answers yet and now she has to take care of her brother by herself. It's not easy and it's no wonder she said what she said, it's understandable.
