Well, it doesn't work for me either. I start to think about what I read . Seriously today I dreamed how I'm explaining to someone in English some psychology theory . That's not normal.

The thing that works nowadays is to start thinking about something that I want to happen to me. Usually it's really far-fetched and not feasible at all, so after 20-30 minutes I'm able to fall asleep. That's it of course if I'm not interrupted by some other thoughts, because those associations work not when I want it.
