I think even when I see it again his death will still be as shocking to me. Just because it was SO sudden. But you are right that it totally works for the movie. After that as a viewer you are afraid for everyone's life. And since so many of the others get injured it is that much more intense. Especially when Simon is shot.


Its true that after the first time you see it Wash's death really has an effect on the rest of the movie and then how you feel afterwards. But then that feeling goes away and you remember the good of it all. I was totally numb the rest of the night after watching. Kept thinking "but.. but.. he can't really be dead??".
