Although about the coin flip I've come to see it another way. I don't think it was about killing Bonnie or Abby but turning them. Esther's spell works with witches alive
or dead so one of them had to stop being a witch. I think they were flipping to see which one would turn Abby and Bonnie was never an option. I think Stefan just happened to find Bonnie first.
It was a crass way to decide. I hope their friendship is salvageable, what's left of it
