Their relationship is one of the things I love about the show. To be honest, I had no doubt that Mr. Carpenter raped Juliet. And when I thought about it and realized no one would believe her, it just further confirmed it. Then later, when I was trying to see where this could go story-wise, it made more sense for Juliet to be lying.

When Bridget gets Juliet to tell her the truth, Juliet could throw it in her face later about being honest. Or, Bridget could teach Juliet that "mistakes aren't tragedies" and that she can learn from it and move on.

I'm not sure. It could go either way still.
