It does makes sense of course.
I've said this before but I'm gonna say it again. I love that they're not together or didn't end up together because that was how they were 'meant' to be. That is their lovestory. Snape, even if he wasn't fond of Harry, still went out of his way to protect him & died for him and all because of his love for Lily. Selfless.
