I don't think there will be any change. If anything the cell phone video chat in episode 1 showed us that they are still the same
The same sheepish smiles and overall cuteness when they interact. That's something I hope they never lose, it makes them different. Just one more episode and they'll be back, we better get a bunch of new stuff to make up for this drought
