I think the writers really overdid it because it seemed like Joey was telling him all season that Dawson is my past, you are my future, and then she would have to tell him the same thing 2-3 episodes later Even after they slept together and it was really special, next morning he's all err are you gonna tell Dawson that we had sex if he asks. I mean geez

I understand he had insecurities and frustrations but every episode, it seemed to always be about whether Pacey was good enough for Joey, good enough for college or it was the Dawson issue. Where was the fun, sweet guy of previous seasons? I certainly didn't see it.
