LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Colin Hanks (news) will play the lead in ABC's untitled comedy pilot about a young reporter who makes waves at a respected magazine.
The project is based on columnist Joel Stein (news)'s experience as being the youngest reporter ever at Time magazine. Stein is writing the script.
Hanks' feature credits include "Orange County" and "Get Over It." On TV, he was seen on the series "Roswell." He next appears in the ensemble indie comedy "Standing Still."

| OMG! This is great news, Colin on our TV sets once a week.
Can I add that I'm so happy things are really coming together for our leading man. I was so mad that they killed him off Roswell but I see what a great snowball effect that it has had on his career. It set him free to do bigger and better roles. __________________ Principal: "Mr. Echolls, may I have a word?"
