When he gave that speech he was at a point in his life where the last thing he wanted was to become a traditional 'family man'.
I love Brian for saying "this is who I am", and I think that's what Justin loved about him too. I think both of them will eventually find the way to still be who they are, with a more committed relationship in the future. I still think that part of it would have to be Brian letting go of the tricking.
