I wouldn't think too much of the Sat1 statement. The way it sounds to me is that it's more of a goodbye present for the fans who stuck with them till the end.
By the way, the cancellation sucks, but sadly wasn't surprising. And to be honest, this will likely ensure as a happy ending for Jemma, which would've been a different matter entirely had the show continued (I'm thinking of all the silly twists soaps like to throw around here). I feel really sad for Kasia and the rest of the cast, though. And Lucy too, I suppose, but she was always with one foot out of the door, and will likely return to the stage soon.
