i'm still amazed that the writers actually followed through with their relationship for five seasons. many shows abandon ship/create ridiculous drama that takes away from the joy of supporting two characters together. not qaf though. they introduced this world in season one and continued to explore and expand on it every season without diminishing their credibility. of course we could all argue specific points, but overall, the writers did a damn fine job with bj and the show itself.

I couldn't agree more. I've seen many shows in which it was impossible for me to really ship a couple because of how the relationship was handled, especially when new partners were brought into the story and you didn't know anymore where the real love was. That never happened with Brian and Justin. There are storylines that were more or less good than others, but overall the relationship was well developed and felt always real.
