I agree that letting the Palladinos go was a HUGE mistake on the network's part and a severe injustice to the show but I'm still thankful we at LEAST had a following season and a series finale that I enjoyed. The alternative would've been FAR worse IMO.

Oh god yes, having S6 as the final would have killed it for me.
And we've all heard the rumors of an alternate S6 ending if Amy had not been let go. Still think if Amy did do S7 then C&L would not have married and probably would not have slept together in the S6 final, even if she had spent the night at his place. She would have woken up and realized how close she came to loosing it. Yes L&L would have had a fight or maybe worse but I have to believe Amy wouldn't have done what happened in S7.
