Parenthood (2010 TV series) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Parenthood is an updated version of the 1989 film of the same title. It is also the second TV series based on that film (the previous series aired during the 1990-1991 television season). This series was originally supposed to premiere on Wednesday, September 23, 2009 on NBC. However, on July 10, 2009, it was announced that Parenthood would be pushed back to midseason, due to Maura Tierney's breast cancer.

In the season two premiere Adam (Peter Krause) is overwhelmed by family needs and increasing demands at work from boss Gordon Flint (guest star William Baldwin). Zeek (Craig T. Nelson) is overly confident in his "fix-it" skills as he tries to repair a leak in the barn and Joel (Sam Jaeger) is enlisted by the family to help. Elsewhere, Sarah (Lauren Graham) tries to find her place in the world as Crosby (Dax Shepard) prepares for a visit from Jasmine (Joy Bryant) and Jabbar (Tyree Brown). Adam (Peter Krause) offers an internship position to Sarah (Lauren Graham) at T&S Footwear. Meanwhile, Kristina (Monica Potter) helps Suze Lessing (guest star Amanda Foreman) through her divorce by babysitting Noel (guest star Nicholas Lobue). Julia (Erika Christensen) commits to a play date for Sydney (Savannah Paige Rae) that threatens her other friendships. Meanwhile, Sarah (Lauren Graham) sees Drew (Miles Heizer) with a girl and offers him unsolicited love advice. Haddie (Sarah Ramos) runs for student council president and enlists her family’s help with her campaign. Crosby (Dax Shepard) behavior gets the best of him and he learns an important lesson about being a father. Craig T. Sarah's (Lauren Graham) performance at the shoe booth exceeds Gordon's (guest star William Baldwin) expectations, causing him to make an unexpected move. Elsewhere, Zeek (Craig T. In the midst of a financial crisis, Adam (Peter Krause) must make an important decision that will alter the company 's future. Meanwhile, Sarah (Lauren Graham) and Amber (Mae Whitman) argue over Amber's incessant partying with her new found friend.
