Thanks for the thread. Here is a list of why this episode was so amazing for SC for those who may have missed it...
1. He refused to kill her.
2. He was furious that this had happened to her (hitting things).
3. He said Katherine did it to get to him (meaning Caroline means something to him).
4. He saved her from Damon (even over Elena at one point, shielding her).
5. When she was freaking out and hysterical he was the one who got her to calm down.
6. He helped her wash her face and comforted her.
7. He grabbed her face and made her look at him to calm down.
8. He showed her how to control herself and gave her hope.
9. He promised her he wouldn’t let anything happen to her.
10. She broke down in his arms and he hugged her while she cried.
11. He told Elena that Damon would be wrong and things would not end bad for Caroline (showing he had more faith in her than anything, even Elena).
12. He said he would check on her later.
13. We have scenes next week!!!
