Seersha I agree with your post. Season 1 is not my favourite either (it has to be S3 considering PJo are my ultimate) but it's definitely my 2nd choice. Also agree with your comment about consistency. I can watch the episodes back to back without thinking,

Joey was my favourite character the first year, for sure. I used to call her crabby but cute.
I loved her pining after Dawson. For anyone who has fallen for their best friend, she gave such a realistic portrayal. And they were really sweet together before they 'got together'.
One of my favourite scenes from the Season was Joey and her dad at the prison fence.
