They need to add a whole new side to some of the characters with a new exciting plot. I mean, I get we all our insecurities--But with the exception of Kaylie/Austin and Payson kissing Sasha, as well as (soon) Emily/Damon; the whole repitition of it all kind of gets boring sometimes.

I guess, I do understand the recurring theme with Emily, since insecurity issues aren't just something you get over. My problem with Emily is that she was portrayed much stronger in the beginning even with insecurities. Lauren's also repetitive which makes no sense, because quite frankly, she has Carter now. And it's not like Steve was marrying Chloe and she'd have to share her father with Emily. Steve was just giving them a financially helping hand, but of course, she had to throw a fit over that too.
