They are good.
And up to the fourth I think they did a pretty good job with bringing the books to life, too, but with the fifth...
The changes were just too big and many things missing.
The film in itself is great, really, but knowing the books I was totally disappointed. *sigh*

I tend to agree with you here. I thought the fifth was still okay, but I didn't really get into the sixth movie
Probably because they had to leave out quite a bit, knowing the books it is hard not to notice they had to cut some things. Of course the movie was more dark overall, but that goes in sync with the book.
