| We all know that this may very have been the final episode of Jack & Bobby. I want to take notice of the last scenes first. For Bobby, it was always about being like Jack. Following in his footsteps. Even as it was shown in the future. Bobby, was brought into politics from Jack's death. Serving out his brother's term. Then much like the running scene, Bobby went farther, ran faster, then Jack. He stepped out of his brother's shadow and was able to walk into his own light. I like to think of it like this... When Jack died, Bobby was finally born.
Jack and Courtney are back where they started. As is Marcus, only Marcus was the one to drive her there. To make her see that she want's Jack and now she can have him. They are both ready to take that step into a real relationship. I wouldn't want to live a lie and niether did Marcus. He wouldn't settle for being second to Courtney. That's what it would have been no matter what. Second, Jack was first and nothing could ever change that.
I could feel the moment of when I met my father comign back to me when Jack met his. The tense emotion of the moment. Everything flooding your senses. I am glad that Jack and his father will try to write to each other. Perhaps even someday Bobby will want to go and see him. You never know. The scene was beautiful and both Lou and MAtt did a wonderful job.
Peter was pure joy when Bobby went to see him. I think that if showed him that he was doing something right. He is trying to be a father to his girls and is afraid that nothing he does means anything to them anymore. To have Bobby come to him and say that he was thankful to have Peter in his life was a huge moment for Peter.
I am still shocked that this season is over. So much and yet so little has been covered. If this was the last episode of the show. I think it was done right. The story of Jack and Bobby. two brother's through the course of their lives. __________________ Everything Has It's Time And Everything Dies |
