This has pretty major episode spoilers. I downloaded one of the sides for Boom- Rachel Timms. She's an associate for Stern. They're going up against Stern in this case. It's a scene with Cary. He got them lattes and they're talking. Rachel asks him if anyone at his firm knows they're friends, he says with or without benefits. She asks him if he likes it at the firm, he says they treat him well. She says the writing is on the wall- Diane and Will are in trouble. He says the checks still clear. She brings up the competition with Alicia and says that if rumors are true he's going to have trouble doing for Will what Alicia does. He asks what the point of this is, she says Stern's firm is growing and if he wants to move she can make that happen. He says he's flattered, she says he's good at his job and deserves some job security. He says amen to that. She says she knows he's loyal to Diane and that's great. No one understands loyalty like Stern and he should think about it. Cary says he will.

Next scene- Alicia's kitchen. Daniel Golden, Peter and Eli Gold. I didn't get dialogue for that.

Later scene- Diane knows she's won. Then there's a choir hymn and they cut to a predominantly black church. The choir is singing. Peter, Alicia, Grace and Zach come in and are shown to their seats. The kids are looking at each other like what are we doing here? Peter and Alicia walk next to each other and he grabs her hand and squeezes it. She gives him a slight smile as they sit down. Then Peter's phone buzzes and he says he'll be right back and leaves before Alicia can protest.

Same time- cut to Rachel's apartment. Cary rolls over in bed as she enters with coffee. Says she just talked to Stern and Julius Cain (?) turned down the offer so for the moment his offer is off the table too. Cary says he knows. He told Will about Stern taking Julius because he wanted to stay put. Rachel just looks at him. He says the good news is that he's getting his loan so soon he'll have a place like this. He hopes she's not mad. She says she's not. She was counting on him telling Will. Stern was ready to promote her to income partner then he started talking about bringing over Julius Cain. That would mean there wouldn't be enough pieces of the pie to go around. Now she just made partner. She laughs and Cary stares, the user getting used, then he laughs. He says good for you.

Back to the church. Alicia looking around wondering where Peter is. Peter is in the basement to confront Gerald Kozko. He says hello and thanks for meeting me. Kozko turns around and sees him then the sides end.

All the trial dialogue alternates between Alicia and Stern questioning witnesses. It's about reporters. Stern is representing the widow of a managing editor who was killed by a bomb. After they figure out who really did it and Alicia accuses him on the stand they start talking financial settlement so it must be a wrongful death suit. Diane and Alicia are representing Charles Clay III. He was the dead man's boss and if I understand it all right, is accused of making the decision to change a cartoon so that it used Muhammad and got Sanborn killed.
