 I just realized why Michael was using the symbols. At the beginning of the column he said that he would limit his Gilmore Girls statements to three. He answered two questions to avoid saying it. The one above, and:

Ausiello: Only three "loves" Amy? It was all the questions about #$&*@+# %&*$% last week, right? Regarding Carnivêle, an HBO rep says no decision has been made about a third season, but I'm encouraged by the cabler's recent decision to renew The Wire.
| I read this column weekly and know that last week was GG-heavy.
