Tftnt
I decided to just post my play-by-play. So, this will be a long one
-General thought: Did Lauren get to know her manager back then or did she get the role because they already had the same manager?
-oh, there she is, in the opening credits
-Oh! Little Ally in the car – is that Hallee Hirsch? As in Rachel Greene, Marc Greene’s daughter on ER?
-Haha! Heard Lauren before I saw her
Love her laugh and her hair! Sooo curly and short
The name is cute. Jules, aw
-I know Brian from Sweet Home Alabama. He looks weird somehow…
-Rofl at Kate’s costume. Dorothy
-Lol, Snow White costume. Love it. It looks just like in the cartoon
-Omg, I just got it. Brian is Sherlock Holmes
-Hee. A Mary Poppins is there, too
-I realize I like Renee here much better than in her other movies…
-Aaand yes, it IS Hallee Hirsch
-Lol, fleeing from Disney characters
-Aw, love the dance – and the song. But… where did Jules go? She was in the background, now she’s gone
I guess she just let the family have their moment
-Oh no, that was a big bomb George dropped there
-Haha! I know the whole Amtrak and crowed platform thing
-Oh, and the correct name is Ellen, so the short form is Ellie
-The aura (is that the word?) of the house has changed. Well, it’s expected in this situation
-So, Kate didn’t know Ellie is staying. Maybe this is the chance to grow closer again, though
-Oh, approval of George by being asked to write the introduction
-And there goes the feeling special again. Poor Ellie
-Oh my goodness! Such a mess in the kitchen… and not a good one. Oh my^^
-Oh, not eatable food. Again poor Ellie. Or poor Kate, depending how you see it…
-Kate seems so reluctant to show affection toward Ellie. I love she wants to change that with suggesting things Ellie might like
-Oh, just the two of them… Duh, of course, or else they wouldn’t reconnect
-Kate’s way of trying is counterproductive, though. Talking all the time and not discussing or talking to her daughter
-Oh no. Ellie learning George is probably cheating. And his encouragement for her weren’t words only for her. Again, poor Ellie
-Aha, Renee is left-handed. I knew that, just forgot^^
-Oh boy. The pain must be so bad. Meryl acts amazingly!
-The nurse also left-handed, lol
-Aw! If you can’t go to the restaurant, the restaurant will com to you. What a sweet idea
Oy with the violin already, though…
-Huh, choosing Mom over job. But I figure that’s ok
-Haha. This Halloween thing looks awesome
-*gasp* He IS cheating? Sure seems that way…
-Huh, she’s covering for him. I think Kate knows, though…
-Harold… who is he and why does he call in the middle of the night?
-I have a suspicion George wants to distract Kate with all that extravagant gifts. From her illness and his misbehavior…
-Ellie seems to have improved her cooking skills pretty much
-Oh no! Now she missed the press conference. Bad
-Hee, I assume that’s James Sullivan she’s talking to
-Oh, epiphany.
-So, it was Sullivan indeed
-Woah. She gives up her job? Oh my, she must really love her mom after all
-Huh. I hope Ellie spills her suspicions about George cheating
-And she does… and he’s sending her back to NY. Confirmation much?
-The Santa scene – at first cute and sweet but then so dramatic. I feel so sad for Ellie, having to watch her Mom fall apart like that
-Oh, cool makeshift gift. Useful and pretty
-General thought: Silent Night is one of my favorite Christmas Carols. Especially in English
-Oh, now I remember. I definitely saw the movie from here on once. Jules being attacked by a snowball while climbing out of the cab^^
-Yeah, the phone call scene is familiar. But poor Ellie. Again. New girl for Jordan. Ugh
-It must be so hard. Seeing somebody suffering more and more
-Ha. I knew Kate knew.
Oh, and there is the explanation why Kate talked so much in the book club...
-So… he doesn’t cheat. Just drinking. Bad, but still better than cheating…
Oh, and Harold was just covering for him.
-Oh. Oh, I fear I know why Ellie is being interrogated here
-I love how Jules is so supportive
-Huh. So Ellie didn’t do it. Maybe George then?
-Jordan. Oh my. Idiot
-Oh, it really seems George did it
-*gasp* She did it herself? But how? Like they said, she was so weak in the end
-Aw. The One True Thing for him. I love that
-I’m happy father and daughter found together again. Sadly something tragic had to happen first. It mostly is like that
After all, I like the movie. Even Renee, because normally I don't like her that much.
Everyone acted so great, especially Meryl.
But, I don’t think I need to watch it again and again.
