Well, blind-sided or conned is a better word, but I was at work and I'm really tired.
It can be said, though, that as distrusting as both Kelly and Dylan are, they are both easily sucked into situations when offered something they really want (ie, family, self-fulfillment). Even after Dylan didn't trust anyone after getting conned out of money, he still found merit in Dr. Finley's work, just as Kelly had. So it's not like either of them can't be brainwashed....
