| Michael resisted the urge to revert back to his angst-ridden teenage years of rolling ones eyes when Lainey acted shell shocked by his blunt dismissal. Even Gavin looked appalled by his brother. Had everyone in this town forgotten to be loyal to their family name? Sonny Corinthos was a man lacking in many departments, but he had never faltered when drilling into Michael how important it was not to sit on the fence. Being a Corinthos meant you didn’t even blink in the direction of Lorenzo Alcazars miserable family. Michael did not see how protecting his own made him the bad guy. He hadn’t harmed Lainey and he didn’t intend to, but he sure as hell wouldn’t help her. “Look, you know how it works. Blood over water,” Michael reminded his sibling with a stern staring down. Lainey told Gavin she would leave and Michael crossed his arms, waiting for the unwanted guest to scurry off into the darkness.
“Smart decision for an Alcazar…for once.” Lainey ignored his arrogant, prick infested comments and whispered nonsense to Gavin about him rescuing her once. Twice was not necessary. “So you were attacked, were you?” The manipulative snake probably organized the entire scheme. Gavin walked in, bought the act, and now she was sucking him in with her bambi eyes and revealing assets. “You recovered quickly, now about you leaving…” Lainey snapped that she was going, but before she did she felt the need to tell Michael how wrong he was about her older brother. He would never endanger his loved ones and Michael knew that. He was just looking for an excuse to hate the Alcazars even more. “You’re right, Chase is a real fucking saint.” Michael didn’t have time for this. Lainey could find her sister by herself. Michael only cared about locating Molly. __________________ House & Stacy ♥ Leaving someone when you love someone is the hardest thing to do.
