I wonder why Shonda always dressed George in such a downy manner. It seemed lkike she wanted to uglify him.
That was a major fail on her end. I will admit though, I did like some of George's clothes. I like the double layers he'd wear in the past, and there was this knit white shirt he'd wear (from the top of my head, he wears it in "Where The Boys Are," "Scars and Souvenirs," and the eighth episode of season two). Also, the green jacket from "Scars and Souvenirs" and "My Favorite Mistake" was another favorite thing he wore on the whole show. I also like that maroon pullover he wore in "Where The Boys Are."

The flannel shirt he wore in "Great Expectations" and the purple one he wore in "The Other Side of This Life pt. 2" (elevator kiss scene) looked really nice on him, IMO. I wish they would have stuck him in more flannel; it looks really good on him. He looks like such a North/Midwesterner when he wears flannel. Also, who could deny the blue scrubs? Shame they didn't make them a bit tighter though...

Shonda copies stories for all characters, but yes, George got a lot of recycled stories, even his death was one.

Such a unique character deserved better.
The only story I can think of at the moment that's been used before Grey's used it was the Nikolas/Emily story on General Hospital when he saw her ghost. I believe he had a brain tumor as well...

The one good thing in this whole mess is all the love George and TR have gotten from the fans, and the fact he took control of his own destiny and took the huge risk in leaving.
It was a huge risk for him to leave, but the risk paid off. He's got two gigs within weeks of being out of his contract. He's going to go far. This is just the start...

And when he gets to the top and gets his own star on the Hollywood walk of fame, Regis Philbin will be there and will say, "See, T.R.?! I told you that you're gonna be a big star! I was right! I was right!"
