| Thanks I had a great Canada day.
I know I was dismayed by his saying TR is done on TV for now, and it's for the best.
I don't remember TR saying he didn't want to do TV anymore.
You know, I have to admit I didn't think the critics were glad TR was off in theater and not on TV anymore until he said it.
This is the one critic who always stood by TR before and the only one at TV Guide who admitted Gizzie had a lot of fans, but now he seems to have drunk the same Koolaid as all the other critics and of course posted a comment by someone who spent his whole letter saying Gizzie had ruined the show .
Not sure if anyone else watches Scribs but they had this lead character called JD who was shown as very sensitive, and not the conventional hunk type at all. He dated Elliot, this gorgeous blonde, and like Gizzie, they got a lot of hate and love.
Well yesterday there was something on Tv-com where they talked about characters that should get killed off and JD wa first. They mentioned his geekiness, sensitivity, feminine voice and goody-two-shoe nature as reasons why he was such a loser.
Who else was on the list? Jorge from Lost. Of course, they claimed to love him but they added it was the last season and what more emotional way to end the show than by killing the nice guy and giving him a heroic death.
It reminded me of George somehow. They either think the good guy is irritating and should be written off or that their one use is to get killed off heroically.
It's disturbing.
I find it very interesting he brought David Hyde Pierce too.
Notice how David only came out after he had finished on Frasier? I sadly think he was scared of this exact same kind of reaction some gave TR and George.
If he had, maybe Niles and Daphne wouldn't have ended up together.
It makes me so sad critics think like that and thsoe are the people Shonda and co choose to listen to.
That Denzel story is very sad. They did the same to him as they did to George, it seems.
Let,s just hope the situation for gays evolve like it did with Black people, although sadfly interracial romances are still sometimes frowned upon in TV shows. __________________ Gizzie love forever Gizzie, Nick and Tess, Josh and Reva, Meredith and Derek, Phoebe and Cole, Luke and Laura, Shawn and Belle, Lucas and Peyton, Andy and Prue, Ryan and Marissa, Dan and Serena, Anne and Gilbert, Viki and Ryan, Mallet and Dinah, Phillip and Beth, Ross and Rachel, Kyle and Fish Avvie by bluewhiteheart |
