Camille, to answer your question from the previous thread, my mother's PPS began about six weeks after my brother's birth (subtle signs appeared two to three weeks prior). My mother was obviously under a lot of stress as this was her fifth, not to mention unplanned, child. He was born around the time when my parent's divorce was finalizing. The PPS lasted about seven weeks, but my mother suffered a few relapses for about a month afterward. To help her overcome it, my aunt dragged her to support groups and if I remember correctly, a few therapy sessions. Eventually, the PPS just died out. She's fine and dandy now, and you'd never believe the monster she was during her PPS days.
